CH 14.1, The Lantern Festival!

The day slowly turned into night. As Eruki had said, she will be there around the weapon shop. I came to the Lantern Village once it became night. Orange lanterns begin to glow around the buildings. Ah... I just like how these lanterns glow through the night. It took me time to find the weapon shop.

[Eruki] Zhenwu!!

I heard someone calling out my name. I looked up and saw it was Eruki. I walked towards her.

[Eruki] How’s the lantern festival for you?
[Zhenwu] It’s okay. I like how these lanterns light up. So what you did until now?
[Eruki] I went to the weapon shop to get needles, and then I waited for you. It looks like a lot of people are coming to the lantern festival tonight.
[Zhenwu] Yeah, it looks that way. Where should we go first?
[Eruki] How about we go to that man with the food? It’s been a while since I eaten.
[Zhenwu] All right, let’s go there.
[???] Hello both of you. How may I help you?
[Eruki] Ooh! I would like one of those tang yuan!
[Zhenwu] I’ll have one of those rice dumplings.
[???] All right! Anything else you would like? Ah! How about these orange lanterns here? You can carry these with you while you walk in the village. It’s fun to have these!
[Eruki] Ooh! 2 for us!
[Zhenwu] It’s okay Eruki, I can go without one.
[Eruki] Don’t worry about it Zhenwu. After all, we should have fun in this festival.
[Zhenwu] I guess.
[Eruki] We’ll have 2!
[???] All right! There for the both of you. That’ll cost you both 600 gold!
[Zhenwu] I’ll pay for us.
[Eruki] Don’t worry about it Zhenwu, I’ll pay.
[Zhenwu] *a little pause from hearing Eruki’s response*…if it’s all right with you.
[???] Thank you! Have fun in this festival.
[Eruki] We will!

As they walked few minutes away from the food stand, Zhenwu looked at Eruki.

[Zhenwu] Thanks Eruki.
[Eruki] You’re welcome!

Zhenwu and Eruki went somewhere to sit down and eat. As they eat, they also talk.

[Eruki] Are you all right Zhenwu? You look like you’re feeling a bit down.
[Zhenwu] Yeah, it’s just that, these lanterns...somehow remind me of something. I can’t remember what it is, but there is one thing I know for sure... I like how these lanterns glow through the night.
[Eruki] I’m sure you will remember it later on. Anyways, cheer up! The lantern festival is just beginning!
[Zhenwu] Yeah, you are right.
