CH 22.26, A Kid and His Father.

There's a flashback.
It shows a boy walking along with someone.
They are both in ragged clothing. They look dirty as if they haven't washed themselves for a while.

As they walked through the village, the boy's stomach starts to growl again. He hasn't eaten for days.
He brought his arm up to reach for the person's shirt next to him. The person's shirt appears to be his father's shirt. His father is standing next to him.

[Kid] Papa…I'm starving…

You can see the pain in this kid's eye.

[Father] I'm sorry son...I'm trying my best to find a way to get food for you...It's so difficult…

The kid's father continues to look into his son's eyes. They have been suffering for days. Nothing to eat since they spent their last money on food a week ago.

[Father] I have no money. Even if I do have some, I will buy food for you. It's hard... so hard to find a job... ever since the Moderator decides to ban the fireworks...all because of that incident…
[Kid] Papa when can we eat..?

The kid's father continues to look down.
Very sad as the Father is, he sees that it is impossible to find a job. All the jobs he can do are taken. Even if there are jobs available, they couldn't do it because they do not have the skills needed. The father could be a player, but he is too weak without his fireworks. As for his son, he doesn’t want him to die as a player. In a society today, villagers would call them useless.

[Kid] Pa..?

The Father thought this out. He has no other choice. His son is starving. If he does nothing about it, his son along with himself will die from starvation.

[Father] Son... you see those oranges over there along the walls of the fruit store? Go get them. I will talk to the person who sells them.
[Kid] But Pa…we have no money.

Sad as the father is to say it and make his son do this, he puts his hand on his son's head.

[Father] Don't worry about it.

The Father walked up to the fruit store with his son. The person who sells the fruits came up to them. The Father waved his hand to signal his son to go.

[???] Hello!
[Father] Hello...how are you?
[???] Good. Is there anything I may help you with?

The Father looked over to see how his son is doing. His son has some fruits in his shirt as he gathers one more.

[Father] Yes. Is there anything you sell in the store?
[???] Oh yes! I have...

With a quick glimpse of the boy, in the corner of the fruit seller’s eyes, he sees the boy stealing!!

[???] Hey!! Stop!! What are you doing?! Put that back!!!
[Father] Run!!

The Father yells out to his son to run as he puts his arm across the fruit seller’s body to stop him from chasing his son.

His son was very afraid to see what he was doing. He is stealing!!

[Father] Go son! Run! Don't worry about it! I will be right there with you!
[???] Police!!! Help!! I need help here!!

His son understood with fear and runs away quickly with the fruits.

As soon as the Father sees that his son had ran far enough and made a right turn to somewhere, he pushes the fruit seller back and runs to the direction where his son went, but..

The policeman caught up in front of the Father and held out his hand to stop the Father from going further! The policeman appears to be the leader of the enforcement team.
